April 29 – May 7, 2022
Produced by Persona Collective
Rabbits is a kaleidoscopic play of over 50 scenes addressing contemporary issues such as racism, discrimination and xenophobia, with an underlying foundation of hope, identity and strength. The play, a series of fragmented yet interconnected montages, is set in a fictional country that recently built a fortress to house a recent influx of refugees who fled from their war-torn land. The fortress that was built to last centuries begins to collapse as the result of an earthquake. The citizens have been told by the authorities that the refugees broke through the walls to escape, which causes panic.
